In specific response to *this* email thread (scope is nice), Cameron
posed these questions to me w/r/2 CSW & OpenSearch-Geo:
2. Explain why the Catalog spec doesn't suite your requirements. (Too
verbose?)
3. Ideally, note how terms in your specification align with Catalog
terms. This will ease implementation for search clients which aim to
address both protocols.
Stefan Keller asked how these two fit in with OAI-PMH.
So I think the current question is: what is the scope of these 3
specs, when is which appropriate, how would one 'convert' between them
or perhaps even wrap their primary service (say CSW) in a
lighter-weight definition (OpenSearch-Geo)
And again, say that all in < 1 page(1). :)
Andrew
Footnote: 1) "page" in this context denotes what a developer can
easily read, comprehend, and implement demo in 1 hr. Also known as a
"blog post" or "sensible email"
