[georss] Georss schemas

Josh,

At first glance, I can't say I'm excited about breaking backward
compatibility with the original attributes of georss:where. We have
incorporated those attributes in our geoRSS feeds.

I'm assuming that this version of georss application profile would have
a namespace different from the original so that users can continue to
use the original version, right?

Also, there is a new GML shape (circle). Over the past couple months,
there has been extensive discussion on this list regarding support for
different GML elements and also regarding support for time. How did
gml:Circle get included and not any of the other items of need? (Maybe
this was decided long before I joined I list...I'm just trying to
understand the decision process of these types of things).

Regards,
brian

Brian, Gregor,

There are an updated / draft GML profile and georss schema posted at
http://www.georss.org/xml/1.1/ which reflect both cleaning up and a
change in the way attributes are handled which was necessary for an
RDF realization. We are behind in updating the website to reflect
this, but would appreciate your feedback in the meantime.

There isn't an XML schema document for either RSS 2.0 or Atom that I
am aware of.

Cheers,

Josh Lieberman
