Hi Charles - welcome to the list. Sorry about the bad timing -
GeoRSS.org is migrating servers, and Mapufacture is getting upgraded
as we speak (should be done within an hour).

I don't know of XSD's or XSLT's for GeoRSS. I think Schuyler Earle was
going to write one, but not sure if he did. I personally just do the
conversions in code. These would be useful, so if you do find them,
please share them out so we can link to them from georss.org.
