[georss] MapGuide Studio - OSGeo FDO Provider for WMS - Proxy Issues

I was curious if anyone has experience with configuring a proxy server when connecting to a wms? As I am able to consume wms in nasa's world wind (as world wind allows me to specify to use my internets proxy settings), but am not able to in map guide studio as I get the following error:

An exception occurred in FDO component.
XML Document parse error at line 8 column 5: An exception occurred! Type:NetAccessorException, Message:Could not connect to the socket for URL 'http://schemas.opengis.net/wms/1.1.1/capabilities_1_1_1.dtd' 

Which I believe is a proxy issue as I am behind a firewall.

Any ideas?
