That's a security restriction in the Flash Player (as there is in the browser with Ajax). 
You either need to have the RSS on your own server, or the remote server needs to have permissions set up with crossdomain.xml.

You can set <fillalpha> to "0"

It will rerequest the feed at intervals based on <update>.

The default value is "60" seconds. Set <update> to "0" if you only want to load the feed once.

There will still be the problem with multiple overlapping extent boxes -- worldKit could use some work here, to display multiple items on the same geometry.
