I use Exiftool (http://owl.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/)
(directions: http://highearthorbit.com/exiftool-is-easy-to-use/) to
write various scripts/wrappers for writing the GPS info to my photos:

for iViewMedia Pro
(http://highearthorbit.com/set-latitude-longitude-in-iview-media-pro/)
for iPhoto (http://highearthorbit.com/289/)

There is also a very nice Mac program, GPS Photo Linker
(http://oregonstate.edu/~earlyj/gpsphotolinker/).

After you write the exif data to your images, seems like it would be
nice to have a script that would read the exif of images in a
directory and generate the GeoRSS feed of those images? Perhaps get
added to programs like Gallery, or put in a PhotoBlog.
