[georss] FOSS4G2006 talks

Hi Mike:

I hope your geoRSS time will leverage GML time - an easy extension of
the existing GeoRSS GML schema. GML already provides support for times
(ISO 8601 strings), as well as TimeInstants, TimePeriods based on ISO
19108. Let's not re-invent the wheel.

This would be a good discussion for the GeoWeb 2006. I believe that KML
already uses the GML time tags although I don't think it is documented.

Sincerely,

Ron

A panel sounds like a good idea.

I'm going to submit a talk on GIS and Time .. specifically at leveraging
GeoRSS to quickly make progress on implementations.

I'd like to encourage people to do some talks at FOSS4G2006 on GeoRSS...

http://foss4g2006.org/

Abstracts are due by June 30, but they can be pretty informal. A
paragraph is enough.

There will also be an opportunity to do demos, where you get some
space on a table, bring your laptop and talk to people in small groups.

    Allan
