Thank you Gregor. This is an excellent point, I have added it to our 
list of address encodings.

The xAL specification is a 90 pages document and the most highlighted 
point is : "Important: Use only elements and attributes that make sense 
to you. Ignore the rest that are needless for you."

I assume google is using a subset of xAL as suggested in the 
specification, unfortunately they don't tell us which subset they are using.
