[georss] bbox for Dublin Core?

Josh,

Is your example a valid DCMI snippet as well as a valid csw:record from the
OGC CSW 2 spec.?

My hypothesis is that extending Dublin Core with bbox and protocol type
(like WMS or ftp) should be enough for a minimal metadata information model.
This model used by OAI-PMH seems to me far less overloaded than ISO
19115/19/ebXML and more consequent than CSW, where I see no reason it's not
a WFS profile. And OAI-PMH is supported by Google - and GOS! More discussion
can be found at
https://geodata.osgeo.org/servlets/SummarizeList?listName=geodata

I found that geodata.gov also uses OAI-PMH for harvesting metadata. And in
OAI-PMH Dublin Core is the mandatory (default) metadata information model.
So it is obvious to extend the DCMI coverage element to support geospatial
data.
=> Now I wonder if it does and how (perhaps someone who knows Doug Nebert
could ask him too).
