Hi Torsten

Couldn't you simply use the RSS "title" field for the link?

Subject: [georss] Transport of Toponyms with GeoRSS

Hello,

I register a fast-growing group of publishers and projects
which present GeoRSS feeds to their users.

More and more users appreciate and utilize the visualisation
of GeoRSS feeds with the geoFeedExplorer
at http://ExploreOurPla.net which displays feed entries
on a interactive map.

Now there are requests to have proper geo-enabled
Internet links with the entries in the geoFeedExplorer
and let the user anticipate what happens on click.
(reposition of the map to the given coordinates)

The first part creating the href with the coordinates
is not the problem. But unfortunately there is
no information inside the GeoRSS Feed what
to use as label between and .

When publishers want to refer to Paris or New York
and add the coordinates in the feed or entry,
they also expect to have these toponyms readable
and usable as link.

Using 'visit' or 'go to' as label is a workaround
and not a solution.

So the question is: how to transport this kind
of geograhic information via GeoRSS to the users
and allow comfortable front-ends with working links?

Hopefully I overlooked the according part
in the reference and someone could give a
quick solution.

Regards
