[appgema] New Year's activities

Dear Colleague,

 

Thank you for expressing interest in the Applied Geomorphological Mapping
Working Group. With the initial set up phase now complete we are moving
towards actively developing the interests of the group. With more than 50
group members we are keen to involve those that wish to actively contribute
to the realization of the group outputs. 

 

Specifically, we envisage the following as primary group activities:

 

*         Working group website

*         Technical aspects: symbolisation (including GIS tools), style
sheets, open source software

*         Reference database

*         Digital Atlas

*         Professional Handbook

*         Administration, including sponsorship

*         Membership, involvement/integration of the geology and geophysics
colleagues

 

As you can imagine, the success of this depends on the degree of active
involvement of as many as possible members. We therefore respectfully
request members to share their expertise in relevant areas; if you wish to
actively contribute to the above activities then please reply stating how
you are able to contribute (including the extent to which you wish to be
involved), as well as any materials you may wish to share with the working
group.
