Journal of Maps Special Issue: Applications of Geomorphological Mapping

We will be publishing a special issue of the Journal of Maps in order to assemble and disseminate geomorphological maps to a wide audience.  The special issue is designed to integrate practictioners from different disciplines and present their work within a single domain. As such we are keen to receive material ranging from process geomorphology through to engineering geology, in any region of the world (or inter-planetary) and any morphological type. This will form one of the primary outputs of the working group.

The Journal of Maps was established to address deficiencies in the publication of maps, specifically, the abilitly to publish in colour at any size. The journal is electronic only and open access. Publication is funded through a nominal submission fee, currently £30.

Articles submitted for the special issue should be ~1000-2000 words in length explaining the data depicted on the map and any procedures/techniques used in data collection and/or map production. The map should be produced to a high cartographic standard. Full submission details are available at the Journal of Maps website (http://www.journalofmaps.com).
