Dear all,

Few updates on the Working Group activities and on AppGeMa.org web-site.

As most of you are aware of we are still having talks with a Publisher for
the Professional Handbook. As soon as there will be some concrete
advancement we will be back to you with detailed information.

The next important European meeting on Geomorphology will be held in Wien in
April. Is som eof you plannig of attending it? It could be nice to have an
AppGeMa informal meeting there among the ones going there.

Next year is the International Year of Planet Earth (IYPE) and it could be a
great opportunity if we could speed up AppGeMa activities in order to see
the draft version of some of the foreseen outputs.

For this reason I would like to kindly demand for your cooperation.

A draft and partial version of the Glossary will be out for discussion among
members soon (early next year): we then will need the input of all the
interested members on it.

It would be also a great opportunity to compile and print an edited
reference collection of papers and book chapters on Geomorphological
mapping. For this aim a good starting point is the reference database posted
on www.appgema.org <http://www.appgema.org/>

Regarding the web site: we have updated the list of members (now reaching
the number of 69); there is a quite big reference list; there are some new
interesting links to research experiences in the field of landform mapping
under Technical; there is a very interesting and numerous list of new
references posted by Colin Pain. Briefly it will be added to the EndNote
file and its pdf version downloadable from the website.

Finally I would like to submit to your attention some papers, some recent
some less, related to geomorphological mapping that were not in the
reference database so far. You will find the same list in the web site soon:
