[appgema] WG activity

Hello list,

first, I'd like to drop a short note on my person, as most of the 
listmembers will not know me.

I'm a student of geography in Bonn and right now I'm working on my 
diploma-thesis entitled "Digital geomorphologic cartography - potential 
of information technology for the further development of geoscientific 
cartography" (written in German), which is supervised by Professor 
Richard Dikau.

The main goals of the working group - including the notes by some 
members - seem very reasonable. I would add one other objective though: 
Strengthen the importance of geomorphological mapping within 
geomorphology itself. This has been stated before, but I think it should 
be on the list of objectives as well.

I would like to point out two points Mr Paron mentioned: the collection 
and presentation of every kind of literature on the topic and the 
support for free and/or open-source software.
